New in Windows 10 build 19603

Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) Integration with Windows Explorer

If you have installed the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), then in the “Windows Explorer” you will see the familiar Linux icon. The new assembly adds the ability to access your Linux files from the left navigation bar of the Windows 10 file explorer.

Starting with Windows 10, version 1903, easy access to Linux files from Explorer or other applications was added. Now it has become even easier. By clicking on the Linux icon, you will get access to all installed distributions in the system.

Choosing the right one will take you to the Linux root file system for this distribution.

Recommendations for cleaning the system in “Memory Control”

The new “Memory Control” feature Recommendations for cleaning users in the menu “Settings> System> Memory” allows you to free up more disk space by identifying unused files and applications so that you can manually clean the device.

Windows cannot predict whether to delete personal files, applications, or local copies of files synchronized with the cloud. With this tool, all found content is collected on one page and can be deleted with just a few clicks.
The View Cleaning Recommendations page contains the following categories:

Temporary files
Large and unused files
Cloud Sync Files
Unused applications
