KB4559309 update for Windows 10 is causing performance issues

AdDuplex: May 2020 Update is used by 7% of Windows 10 devices

11/10/2020 Windows 10 administration

AdDuplex has published a monthly statistical report on the use of various versions of Windows 10. The official release of Windows 10 May 2020 Update (version 2004) took place more than a month ago, but the share of devices running this version is only 7%.

What are we talking about?

There are several reasons for such a slow spread. Firstly, Microsoft does not forcibly update users to the new version of the system, and secondly, there are still a large number of problems due to which the update for some devices is blocked.

The leading position in the market is occupied by the May 2019 Update (version 1903), the share of which over the past month decreased by 2% and is 46.2%. The share of the November 2019 Update (version 1909) decreased from 36.4% to 35.7%. The biggest decline was seen in the October 2018 Update (version 1809), as Microsoft began automatically migrating users of that version of the system to the May 2020 Update. The share of the October 2018 Update is 5.9%, which is 2.4% less than a month earlier.
